Dramatic Moment Fire Rips Through Bus - And Brave Passerby Tries To Put Out Flames

A brave passerby attempted to put out a fire on a double-decker as flames ripped through the bus in North London.

The incident happened on the route 113 double decker as it sat outside Finchley Road and Frognal station.

The man grabbed a fire extinguisher and ducked under the billowing smoke to try to put out the fire.

Eyewitness Anna tweeted: "I don't know what happened but we only heard a loud bang and then screams and saw people running and then we looked outside and saw the bus on fire."

A Transport for London spokeswoman said: "There were no injuries sustained by the passengers or driver and investigations as to the cause of the incident are under way."
