Passerby Takes Keys Off Drunk Man Behind The Wheel Trying To Drive Off

A conscientious passerby helped prevent a dangerously drunk man driving away.

Danny Tiplady, who shot the video, watched the man in his 30s stumble several times while walking to a blue Mazda and getting behind the wheel at a busy park on Friday at around 2.30pm.

He confronted the driver who insisted he was "fine" before trying to close the door. Danny calmly explained why he couldn't let him drive off. The driver got angry at this and started swearing, but Danny grabbed his keys and backed away from the car before calling police.

When the police arrived they confiscated the driver's keys but allowed him to collect them from the station the next day.
