In a packed programme, we talked about the Dubai kissing couple and what it is like to visit the place. There were contrasting opinions, to say the least. It is apparently the best place and the worst place to take a holiday in the known world. The people are friendly and nasty, the weather gorgeous and unbearable and the attractions numerous and non-existent.
We also discussed David Beckham and there was a similar lack of consensus. It is either a great loss that he looks unlikely to join our boys in Africa and also a great relief. He is a prancing show pony and the hardest working man in football. You love him and hate him in equal measure.
There was also a rather brief discussion of Labour's plans for the Lords. In a nushell, you didn't think much of it.
