Nick Ferrari In The Met Police Helicopter
Wednesday 13th February 2013
It's a month since two people were killed after a helicopter crashed into a crane in Vauxhall - with the difficult weather conditions cited as a potential reason.
So just how safe are London's skies? Last week, Nick Ferrari spent the day with the men of the Met Police's Air Support Unit - the police helicopters you often see in the skies over the capital.
They have three helicopters, fitted with around £6million-worth of cameras, lights and tracers. Nick joined Sergeant Richard Brandon as they flew above the centre of town and saw the route that pilot Pete Barnes took on that tragic day four weeks ago.
