The Met Police have confirmed that a member of the public's made an official complaint about Minister for London, Tony McNulty's, expenses claims.

It alleges he obtained financial advantage through deception.

Scotland Yard have told us they're now considering how to respond. 

It comes as officers have also been asked to investigate how the details of MPs' expenses were leaked to the Daily Telegraph.


London councils want more power over local policing- but the Mayor's been telling LBC, they won't get them.

The group that represents councils says one of their 'chief areas of concern has been the inability of elected councillors to influence policing in their local area.'

Speaking as he announced plans to increase police numbers on the overground line between Stratford and Romford... Boris Johnson explained to LBC's Dan Freedman while he's keen to hand out more power to councils over their transport arrangements.... policing is something he wants to keep a firm grip on...


Tributes are being paid to a British solider killed on one of the most deadly days for UK forces in Afghanistan.

Twenty two year old Corporal Sean Binnie from the Black Watch, 3rd Battalion the Royal Regiment of Scotland... died in fight with insurgents in Helmand province yesterday.

Three other soldiers were also killed yesterday - their families have been informed.
