Notting Hill Carnival 2014: Road Closures And Travel Info
This is how you can get to and from the Notting Hill Carnival on Sunday 26th August and Monday 27th August 2014.
Europe's biggest street carnival is this weekend as thousands of revellers descend on the streets of Notting Hill for a party.
There will be a number of road closures in the area and some tube stationswill be either closed or exit only across the weekend. Make sure you plan your travel below.

How To Get To The Notting Hill Carnival
Make sure you plan ahead on how you will get to and from the Notting Hill Carnival as several Tube Station are closed.
Tube Station Closures
IMPORTANT: Ladbroke Grove is closed on both Sunday and Monday, while Notting Hill Gate and Royal Oak are exit-only, so you will not be able to leave the area from these stations.
Ladbroke Grove: Station closed on both Sunday and Monday.
Latimer Road: Station will close at 23.30 on Sunday and Monday.
Notting Hill Gate: Exit only between 12.00 to 19.00 on Sunday and Monday. Circle and District line trains will not stop at this station between 12:00 and 19:00 on Sunday 25 August and all day on Monday 26 August. There will be no interchange between Central and Circle/District lines.
Royal Oak: Exit only between 11:00 and 18:00 on Sunday and Monday, then closes on both days at 18:00.
Westbourne Park: Exit only between 11.00 and 18.00. The station will close at 23.30.
Bayswater, Queensway, Paddington, High Street Kensington, Holland Park and Queen's Park are all open as usual.
There will be extensive road closures in the Notting Hill, Ladbroke Grove and Westbourne Park

- Westbourne Grove
- Chepstow Road
- Park Road
- Great Western Road
Roads will generally close from 07:00 and reopen around 03:00-04:00
All roads within the boundary of A404 Harrow Road to the north, A402 Holland Park Avenue & Notting Hill Gate to the South, Queensway in Bayswater to the East and A3220 White Cross Route & A219 Wood Lane / Scrubs Lane to the west will be closed from 07:00 on Sunday to approx 03:00 on Tuesday.
The smaller roads within the area will also be shut. You should avoid driving near the area if possible.
Roads in the surrounding area, including Harrow Road, Holland Park Road, Edgware Road and Scrubs Lane will be affected and are likely to be much busier than normal.
London buses will operate additional buses to serve the carnival. Due to the road closures a total of 25 bus routes will either be diverted or part suspended.
There are additional buses serving the are, but they are not allowed into the carnival area.
