The eight legged creature became stranded just after 9am this morning causing delays around the busy shopping street.
It was being transported through London after being used by online betting company Betfair.
The advice from TfL was "approach with care".

The Octopus has now been moved out of the way and Betfairs has apologised for any inconvenience caused by the prop, which is being used for an upcoming ad campaign.
