My first talk show was on the pop station Radio Luxemburg. I just stopped playing records and started taking calls on air. The management were in another country and didn’t seem bothered. I doubt they were listening. They probably couldn't get reception.Since then, I have presented shows for most of the reputable radio companies and at least two of those that are not. At Virgin, I was made to play Blondie over seven million times.
Occasionally I present talk shows with Carol McGiffin. Despite appearances, we are not an item, even though, like the long term married, we rarely speak and don’t have sex.
