Paralympic Lanes and Road Closures

Keeping London Moving

Plan your traffic and travel for the London 2012 Paralympics - with huge numbers of extra people coming to London for the Games, the capital's roads will face additional pressure.

There will be a number of road closures in place to ensure the smooth running of the Games and significant disruption is expected.

The Main Road Closures:
Monday 3rd - Saturday 8th September - Cycling Roads Race around Brands Hatch

Sunday 9th September - Paralympics Marathon - Route and Road Closures

Paralympic Games Lanes
Transport for London are warning that London will be just as busy during the Paralympics as they were for the Olympics, with 215,000 spectators to visit the Olympic Park on most days during the event.The number of Games Lanes however is much reduced, with just 8.7miles of lanes closed to non-Games traffic.
