Peers Fall Asleep During Epic 21 Hour Debate

The debate on voting reform was one of the longest the House of Lords has ever had.

Beds and refreshments had to be put on for those involved.

They were discussing a referendum on the voting system which could see a reduction in the number of MPs and a change of Parliamentary boundaries.

The Mail Online claims one peer even took a sleeping bag with him into the chamber.

The website also managed to spot those who struggled to stay awake during the marathon discussion.
