The pilot of the iconic Goodyear Blimp died after saving the lives of three passengers as the aircraft caught fire in mid-air.

The pilot of an iconic Goodyear Blimp has been killed after the craft burst into flames and crashed in Germany.
It's understood 3 passengers managed to jump from the cabin when the pilot lowered the airship to six metres above ground.
