'Police Failed My Daughter After She Was Raped'
Thursday 13th December 2012
The mother of a rape victim, who's been paid £15,000 in compensation by the Met Police, has told LBC 97.3 her daughter will "never recover" from how Scotland Yard treated the case.
The Met admitted the investigation was handled by an inexperienced, untrained, poorly-supervised and under-resourced team.
The victim was 15 at the time and the man accused was aquitted after detectives lost vital evidence.
Her mother - who wants to remain anonymous - has told us the MET caused the family a lot of pain.
