Man Wanted For Sexual Assault On Sleeping Train Passenger

British transport police are appealing to the public to help identify a man suspected of sexually assaulting another passenger on a midnight train to Southend.
British transport police are looking to speak with a man in connection with a sexual assault incident between Prittlewell and Southend Victoria station.
The incident, which took place early on Friday, 25 July, happened when a woman, 23, fell asleep on the train and woke up to a man sexually assaulting her just after 12:50 am.
The suspect was last seen at Southend Victoria station and police say he may have boarded the train from Shenfield or East London.
After analysing onboard CCTV, police are very keen to talk to the man and say: “He has key information on this assault.”
British Transport Police are asking for anyone who may know this man to contact them on 0800 40 50 40, or text 61016 and quote ESUB/B12 of 25/07/2013. Information can also be passed anonymously to the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
