Pregnant Woman Stabbed During Bethnal Green Robbery

A pregnant woman has been stabbed in the leg during a robbery in Bethnal Green.
The woman in her 30s was attacked as she got into a taxi at around 5.30am on Tuesday.
Her unborn child wasn't harmed and she was taken to hospital for treatment on her leg.
The suspect was a light-skinned black male in his late teens at around 5'11". He was wearing a cycle face mask which covered his mouth and nose.
He had been trying to rob the minicab driver and he turned his attention to the victim as she approached the vehicle. The woman, who is 20 weeks pregnant, was pushed into the back of the car and despite him she was pregnant, the man stabbed her in the leg and ran off with her handbag.
