A motorbike rider has been banned from driving and left with life-changing injuries after a bout of road rage led to a horror crash.

Terry Hammond admitted dangerous driving after his Yamaha crashed head-on with a van as he rode on the wrong side of the road.

The smash happened seconds after Hammond’s own head cam filmed him racing alongside another van to swear at the driver.

He was so incensed that he'd been cut up, he did not see the white van heading directly towards him.

Hammond, 43, of Boscawen Gardens in Braintree, Essex, had to be flown to hospital after suffering life-changing injuries.

He was later handed a three month community order, disqualified from driving for 12 months and ordered to pay £50 in costs.
