Darren on why alcohol minimum pricing won't work
Darren Adam explains why setting minimum pricing on alcohol just won't stop problem drinking.
Talking on his LBC show Darren explained why even if the price was trebled, it wouldn’t have the desired effect of tackling problem drinking.
“If your committed to getting that bottle of cider for you and your mates, its not going to be that difficult to get that extra money, even if it represents a trebling of the price.”
“I just don’t think that is going to move the needle. If you are a problem drinker, an adult that drinks to a problem level, a problem degree that absolutely not going to stop you.”
Watch as Darren explains why one of the keys ways put forward to tackled problem drinking simply won’t work.
