Nigel Farage Talks

Nigel Farage told his LBC show open borders belonged to a “post-war period”, citing the phrase: “Good fences do make good neighbours”.

Reacting to Donald Trump’s wall announcement, Nigel said the free movement of people would dominate elections taking place in Europe later this year and could even affect the outcome.

Nigel said: “Schengen was a dream that belonged to a post-war period where we did not have the threat of international Islamic terrorism - the game has changed!

“I think that the big events that are coming in 2017, like the elections in the Netherlands, in France, in Germany and possibly even Italy too, I think the Schengen Zone and the introduction of borders is likely to dominate those campaigns and the result of them.”
