The US President indicated he is considering a return to harsh interrogation techniques as he claimed officials had told him “torture absolutely works”.

Unhappy with the Republican’s remarks, LBC caller Will phoned Nigel and demanded to know where the President’s moral compass was.

“There are many, many social issues, abortion for example, there are many issues here where Britain and America are very, very different,” Nigel responded.

“Whilst Trump may think that torture works, he is not himself going to be campaigning for it and I doubt to be honest with you it’s going to be an issue because I don’t see Congress passing it.”
