Boris Johnson has told LBC the Government's cuts to tax credits are being brought in too quickly.

The Mayor of London says they haven't been properly thought through.

He says he has asked City Hall aides to draw up plans to challenge the government's plans.

Speaking to Nick Ferrari on Ask Boris on LBC, he said: "We've got to make sure that as we reform welfare and the tax system, that the people on the lowest incomes and the hardest-working people are not hit by these cuts.

"I'm asking my people at City Hall to look at all the impacts in London and to see what we can do to make some proposals to London about them."
