His own MP Douglas Carswell has taken aim at Nigel Farage's behaviour in the EU Parliament - now Nigel fires back.

In a week where the Tories and Labour faced internal battles, could Ukip be the next to face big divisions?

Nigel Farage joined Iain Dale on LBC this evening and didn't hold back in his response to Douglas Carswell, the party's only MP, even suggesting that he could be booted out of Ukip by Monday.

Carswell has criticised how Farage behaved in the EU Parliament this week, when he gave a triumphant speech to boos from the other MEPs.

Farage's response? "What would he know?

"We find somebody inside our party who doesn't agree with anything our party stands for, it's a very odd state of affairs."

Asked by Iain Dale if Carswell should return to the Tories, Farage said he wouldn't get involved with "any of this...I don't micro-manage the thing.

"Why would you join a party like Ukip, with me as the leader, with our policies and manifesto, and then from almost day one of joining, disagree with everything we say or do?

"I find it really, really odd."

"That will be up to the NEC to decide," said Farage when asked if Carswell would be expelled from Ukip.
