Is the rise of the pound shop a sign of the recession? Well if it is, it's one sign people like. Mixed opinions on average speed cameras - would they really be better than speed humps. Overall yes, I think. Great call from a dentist last night, explaining why some dentists earn more than the PM - but most earn more like half. And they study for nearly as long as doctors. She felt bemused that we will pay highly for an electrician or a plumber - but resent paying for an expert to look at our mouths.
