This week on Sex in the City, Susan and I spoke to Charles, who after 43 years of happily married life was considering an affair with his wife’s best friend. Julie told us the traumatic story of her husband who left her after 8 years together to look after his family back home in Afghanistan. Phillip was stuck in a rut after only 1 year with his boyfriend and Sophie told us about her boyfriend who constantly used her internet based indiscretion as ammunition to win arguments despite the fact she never actually met the guy she’d flirted with online!
We finished out ‘tour round the house’ on Susan’s ‘Sex Tip of the Week’ this week with a few final ideas to get the neighbours talking!
ALL AROUND THE HOUSE
Over the past two weeks, we’ve looked at the sexy fun you can have in the bathroom and the kitchen. But what about the rest of the house? What other delicious possibilities are there in your home? Here are some Sex in the City favourites.
On the stairs… you can play with the different levels that stairs offer. She can lie on her back, bracing herself with her feet on the bottom step, while he lies on top - this one’s great for evening things out if you’re very different heights. Or reverse the whole thing so that he’s lying back and she’s straddling him. By tilting you both at a 45 degree angle rather than having you flat on the floor, both these positions allow different bits of your ‘bits’ to get stimulated.
In the living room… try a stable armchair or sofa, with her sitting on one arm and him kneeling in front of her – on a cushion if his knees get sore very quickly. Or have kneeling on the floor in front of the chair or sofa, bent forward with head and arms on the seat. He penetrates her vagina from behind (or penetrates another orifice if she’s OK with that)
In the garden… you can have outdoor fun. Yes, public sex isn’t allowed, but if you can’t actually be seen by anyone else when you’re in the privacy of your back yard, then surely no-one will mind. Best positions for absolute discretion are standing face-to-face or lying side-by-side facing with his upper leg over her hip. Both positions mean that your genitals are hidden and you’re protected from the neighbours’ gaze.

When you consider the number of films and TV shows that have covered this idea from Woody Allen’s classic ‘Sleepers’ to ‘Star Trek’, it really is a case of science fiction becoming science fact!
But how many disturbing questions does this raise about the future of humanity? Where will this technology be in 10 or 20 years time and what kind of impact will it have had on our levels of social interaction? We’re still adjusting to the impact of social networking websites for crying out loud. That feels like small fry in comparison to Roxxxy and the potential seismic shift she will create in the future of human sex and relationships.
