Another weekend, another problem

Problems on the underground, Dianne Abbot in the studio and should teachers be looking for extremism in students?

Another weekend, and another problem for those of us in London trying to get around. This time, the problems are going to be hitting the Northern line with closures set to disrupt peoples journeys on weekends. I spoke to Richard Parry from TFL who as far as I'm concerned offered no real alternatives to us who choose to use the public transport.

Dianne Abbot MP for Hackney joined me in the studio to discuss the future of the Labour party especially this election year. She seems to think that the party might be in trouble, but as is always the case with politics, you can never predict what is going to happen. The expenses scandal has claimed many victims, and trust in politicians is at an all time low. Who knows what will happen in May?

Finally we discussed the initiative being launched in Waltham Forest where teachers are being trained to spot signs of extremism in young students. Marie Pye, Councillor for the area also explained how this programme can be used to help those in gangs as well. If it works, then I hope it is rolled out across all schools as it's a very good idea.
