Do you feel safer on London's busses?

Has Boris made London transport safer for you, and why shouldn't London be able to watch world cup matches on a big screen?

It seems that Londoners like a communal get together what ever the occasion. However, the residents near Regents Park don't want world cup matches to be shown there and London Assembly member Brian Coleman agrees. But I don't see why we shouldnt use London parks to host these events. Even if you don't use Regent's Park, surely Hyde Park would be a great place to put up some big screens? They already host musical festivals in Hyde Park, and the vastness of the park means that there will still be areas of the park where you can get away from the noise. Some of you got in touch with me to propose the idea of stadiums opening their doors to show games.

I also asked if you feel safer on busses in London as Boris announces that bus crime in London is down 18%. I spoke to Jenny Jones from the London Assembly and Councillor Susan Hall from Harrow, an area that has seen a rise in the number of transport hubs which work towards safer transport. Oddly, despite crime going down according to our web poll on my pages, most of you didn't feel safer on the busses.

More from me next week
