Calling time for illegal clampers?

Posted by Nick Ferrari on January 29, 2010 at 14:24PM

Let's hope so.
We ended the week with some rather hard-hitting stuff, including the continuing debate on MMR and a rather heart breaking look at the after affects of unexpectedly loosing a baby. As ever, I am most grateful to those of you who were brave enough to share your stories with us and if you missed any of that, then please have a listen back on the podcast.
We kicked-off the show with a subject close to many peoples hearts - illegal clampers. Most of us have been affected by this at some point, but it looks like the law could be set-to-change in favour of the motorist, check out www.wheelclampers.co.uk for more information.
My thanks to Bill Stewardson, who was kind enough to join us on the phone this morning. You would have read about this poor chaps plight in the papers this week; after he was given just one days leave from work after hearing of his son, Alex's death in Basra. I wish him the very best of luck and sincerely hope that he keeps in touch with the programme.
How many close friends do you have? In this age of Twitter and Facebook, where people have thousands upon thousands of 'friends', we asked, just how many friends do you need? And how many 'proper' friends can you really rely on? We did the 'body shifters test' to find out.
Someone I would love to have around in a crisis is the fantastic Paul McKenna, he joined us this morning to go through the papers and to show us his new I-Phone AP, that promises help you get rid of unhealthy cravings.
That's it from me for another week; I'll be back on Monday morning at 7am, until then, stay safe.
