Exam Cheats

... do cheats prosper?

Do you cheat in exams, I wondered last night? And the answer was yes for quite a few. Things written on your hands, secreted in your pencil box, we even heard of crib sheets being hidden in the loo, ready to be looked at when on a pee break. But few wanted to condemn the cheats. Some even argued that it's a test of how you will get on in later life. Cheats dosometimes prosper. Just look at the footballing world. I suspect the problem is that we are testing the wrong things. If it was less of a memory test and more of an intelligence test then it would be a more useful guide for employers. After all calculators and dictionaries are available in real life.
