The internet doctor will see you now...

Posted by Anthony Davis on January 29, 2010 at 05:22AM

A fifth of Londoners go online to diagnose their illness, and have you been judged because of your accent?

How do you do?

This morning we discussed the record number of Londoners turning to the internet to diagnose themselves because of difficulty getting an appointment with their GP. Gone are the days of sitting on a green Chesterfield on a maroon deep pile carpet in the front room waiting area of your Doctor’s own home. We analysed the difference in services across the boroughs. Plus, Harriet Harman loosing her fifties cut glass accent to fit in with Labour colleagues. We asked if you’ve had to adjust your delivery, accent or dialect to suit your new found environment. Street slang, regions and the infamous cockney! Finally, the death of JD Salinger and our memories of reading Catcher in the Rye. A full review of the morning papers, and heated feelings regarding Tony Blair’s appearance at the Iraq inquiry this morning.
