This morning we celebrated the Evening Standard British Film Awards with a look at the winners, and a discussion about how the Brits excel at filmmaking, and why our simple stories beautifully executed will over shadow a Hollywood blockbuster, every time. Plus, David Cameron’s demands that Britain sets a higher bar on those coming into the teaching profession with agreement by a cross-party group of MP’s yesterday. We asked if increased grades will improve the quality of teaching, or whether something else needs to change to improve our schools? Is discipline the contributing factor, and not teachers at all? Finally, a look at the delays in the renovation of The Savoy, and the history of one of London’s finest landmarks.
