How do you do?

This morning we celebrated a century of cinema, as the 82nd Academy Awards took place at the Kodak Theatre in Los Angeles. We talked about the importance of film in all our lives, and the movies that have stayed with us, moved us or opened our eyes. We looked at the process of a night out at the flicks, including the high cost of the ticket, and the refreshments which can set you back a good few quid. Even an insight into the world of the projection room. The lack of manners from patrons these days, and why more of us are choosing to settle down in front of our home cinemas. Our showbiz editor Jo Parkerson joined me to analyse the Oscar winners as they were announced, which saw Hurt Locker clean up. All that, plus a full review of the morning papers.
