The importance of mums

Posted by Anthony Davis on September 03, 2010 at 02:49AM

Also why is London 3rd?

How do you do?

Tonight we discussed the importance of our mothers, as research suggests that during school holidays female parents are tested to the limit requiring a remarkable level of multiskilling to keep their children entertained. After I witnessed a mum slap her teenage daughter in the face earlier, we asked why some parents get it so wrong and what natural attributes are required to do right by your children. Plus, as some energy companies are investigated for alleged unethical sales techniques, we asked if cold calling is still effective in the modern world of the price comparison website. And with London coming third in a tourist destination award behind Edinburgh and Oxford we asked if the capital has lost it's edge. Finally, primary schools have only 12% male teachers, we asked if gender makes any different to education and which subjects could be cut as government spending begins to affect the curriculum. All that, and a look through the front pages.

I'm off for my summer break but back at 1am on Monday 13th September.
