August bargains on the horizon

Loads happening this afternoon
Such fun talking to you today … thank you for some spectacular calls, and also for Peter in Krakow’s heckle demolishing my recommendation for summer in Poland. Terrible weather, few people speaking English, questionable food ...
Much more besides, for example Justin Urquhart Stewart of Seven Investment Management predicting the imminent arrival of the “soft” euro for countries such as Greece, making them much better value. As holiday companies try to offload their remaining summer packages, Jacqui Ridler from Future Travel outlined some sub-£300 deals for later this month. My destination of the week was Madeira - after the devastating mudslides earlier this year, is this lovely Atlantic island now back in business? LBC’s Jonathan Richards is just back and thinks so.
As mentioned, I’m in Orkney next weekend. If you have any tips for me, let me know. Travel well and stay safe.
Simon
