Can't you do that at home?

Posted by Steve Allen on November 26, 2008 at 08:06AM

there are certain things you don't do in public......

Morning Team,

Well, what a day I had yesterday! There I was minding my own business, shopping in Kingston, when some lorry smashes into my car door! My mirror has come right off! That driver had better be insured or heads will roll! What a nuisance.

Perhaps I should have taken the bus? But I just couldn't face all the students and their smelly food. Honestly, someone was stuffing their face with a jacket potato the other day! Didn't their mothers ever tell them that it's just not the done thing to eat that kind of food in public?

Susan Spence's mother certainly did and also warned her daughter not to brush her hair in public either! However, the 10 year-old Susan ignored this and brushed her locks in Woolworths of all places! She was promptly asked to leave by the manager and lived in peril of her mother finding out! But she was very well behaved today and kept her brush in her bag when she came into the studio to review the soaps for us. According to her corrie is one to watch tonight folks, it's an hour long episode.

I was also joined on the phone by Steve Hargraves to review this weeks gigs and new releases, including one from Bruce Springsteen, which was quite good. No sympathy for Steve's sniffley cold though, which he managed to pick up in Dubai. He was reporting at that big lavish party held there recently, you know the one will the fire works costing millions and the performance by Kylie? Now that sounds like a party, unlike the one recently held by Phil Turner and Gary Cockrill, which was more like a who's who of the Z list. For those of you who don't know (and I should think that's most of you) Gary is Katie Prices make-up artist and Phil was in a make over show. Amongst the desperados that dragged themselves in-front of the cameras were: Melinda Messenger, Katie Price, Katie Price's sister and Zoe Tyler - the most annoying of all the loose women. Sounds like one to stay at home for!

There are more walks around hidden London with Diane Burnstein, this time concentrating on the east of town, for full details go to Secretlondonwalks.co.uk.

Right then, I'm off for another day, see you all tomorrow,

Steve.
