Morning Team!
And things are just about back to normal…..finally, still feeling a bit croaky but the voice is almost back to its best. I asked my doctor if I would be able to sing operetta by my birthday and he said he said 'yes, absolutely', which was a shock actually, as I've never been able to do so before. Yes the old ones are the best, just ask Catherine Zeta-Jones!
If you missed this mornings show then you may not know what the budgets are for BBC TV and Radio….whatever you think it is, then double it and add a few noughts; it's unbelievable ladies and gentlemen it really is! If you don't believe me, then just have a listen back to the podcast.
My thanks to Susan Spence who joined me in the studio to go through the soaps and we also heard from Steve Hargrave who played us this weeks new releases; including a track from the legendary Courtney Pine. Unfortunately though we shall have to do without Mr Hargrave next week, as he will be stalking the red carpet at the Oscars, let's just hope that he gets his suit back from the dry cleaners!
