Steve here! It's Wednesday, it's midweek but as of yet I still don't have my car back! For now I'm stuck in a little white machine.
Today I'm joined in the studio by a modern day icon, Mr Hank Marvin. The man who can play guitar and walk, he's got a new album out and the In Conversation will be played out soon for you,
Enough about Hank and back to cars. It's claimed builders, bakers and dinner ladies are some of the safest drivers on the road. An insurance company looked at the number of accidents people in various professions were involved in. Luckily enough radio presenters were not in the list of worst drivers, but not in the list of safest either. Oh dear!
We also heard about Glasgows finest. Lulu will headline celebrations for the Commonwealth Games opening ceremony in her home city this summer. She will lead a line-up of top Scottish musicians at the event on Glasgow Green. Is that what the World want to hear? At least we won't have to put up with another wayward performance from Sir Paul Macca like we had to at the Olympics.
Oh and there was another award ceremony last night. Actress Dame Helen Mirren won one of the big accolades at the Glamour Women Of The Year awards. The Oscar winning star was presented with a Glamour Icon award last night! Fortunately for her Dame Judi Dence was not available, so Dame Helen got the award instead!
