Striking Firefighter Hit By Car
A man has been hit by a car during firefighter demonstrations in Croydon.
It is thought he was a striking firefighter taking part in the walkout in a row over proposed changes to shift patterns.
London Ambulance Service has confirmed that it was called at 3.20pm today (November 1) and a man has been taken to hospital with pelvic injuries.
A second person is also being treated for minor injuries.
Because of the large number of protestors and following the incident London Fire Brigade has now suspended the use of the Croydon station.
