Sutton Teenager Arrested After Las Vegas Bomb Threat Hoax

A 17-year old Sutton teenager has been arrested after making a hoax bomb threat to Las Vegas Police
The South London youth is in trouble with police after claiming there was a bomb underneath a taxi parked outside the MGM Grand Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas, Nevada.
The male teenager, whose name has not been released, called 999 in the early hours of Monday, 4 August to report a bomb threat in the U.S. city.
Metropolitan Central Communications command sent the information along to Las Vegas police who immediately sent officers to Las Vegas hotel.
American police officers discovered there was no immediate threat and Sutton police were able to trace the call to the 17 year old’s home address.
Within an hour of the hoax call, police had remanded him into custody on suspicion of making a bomb hoax call.
The teenager has been bailed and is due to appear in court later this month.
