The International
A clunky, ineffective thriller. It aspires, but fails to capture the tone of a 1970s conspiracy drama.
The script is too obvious, with every single plot development spelled out in black and white and the potentially strong cast - led by Clive Owen and Naomi Watts - is let down by flat dialogue, resulting in one-dimensional performances.
Still, it has its moments and is worth watching for the brilliantly staged shoot-out at the Guggenheim.
