What to do with asylum seekers?

Posted by Petrie Hosken on July 29, 2010 at 16:16PM

Isn't it better they work than just live off our system?

First - ten's of thousands of failed asylum seekers have been granted the right to work in the UK while their cases are reviewed.  Is this the right thing to do?  Surely it's better they work than cost the tax payer in support?

At two we discussed how a further 60 miles of London's roads are to be snatched by the Olympic Delivery Association to make life easier for athletes and hangers-on travel around during the games.  These are on top of the Olympic Road Network already announced.  Is this reasonable? LBC's reporter Declan Harvey joined me in the studio.

Finally we discussed the smoking ban, which was to be extended to outside pubs and clubs aswell as inside is not going ahead.  Do you think it should have?
