Nick Ferrari Top Story

Thursday 3rd February 2010

Army tanks are out on the streets of Egypt in a move to end violence between pro and anti Government protesters.

The army has set up a buffer zone between those calling for President Hosni Mubarak to stand down and his supporters.

The violence in Cairo's central square has killed five people in the last 24 hours and injured 1,500 others as the two sides battled with rocks, sticks, bottles and firebombs.

Nick spoke to Wael Omar - and Egyptian documentary filmmaker who attended the protests.
