Tube Fare Time Machine: Weekly Travelcard Could Cost £108 in 2050

A virtual Tube Fare Time Machine predicts commuters will pay nearly £110 a week for a Zones 1-6 travelcard in 2050.The online service gives an estimate of how much prices will go up in future, giving a breakdown of different travelcard options.
It predicts that by 2050, a weekly Zones 1-2 travelcard will have almost doubled in price from today - rising from £31.40 to £61.44.
As well as estimating prices in years to come, the Time Machine also shows what costs were in the past.
In 1983, a week's travelcard for Zones 1-6 would set you back £12 - the cost today is £57.20.That's a rise of 377% in 31 years.
