Tube Strike Called OffFriday 11th January 2013
Strikes planned by London Underground drivers over the next few weeks have been called off to allow talks to be held over pay.
Members of the Aslef union were to stage 24-hour walkouts - one a week today and another on the following Friday.
It's after similar action on Boxing Day as part of a long running row over bank holiday pay. 64578
Aslef believes its members deserve extra pay for working them - while tube bosses say working them is covered in their existing contracts.
A union spokesman said the action had been suspended so that talks could be held to try to reach a resolution.
