Unemployment in London has fallen by 17,000 - according to new figures from the Office for National Statistics.
However, the unemployment rate in London is slightly higher than the national average.
London's deputy mayor for business and enterprise, Kit Malthouse, says the amount of jobs available in the city has gone up.
He said: "Over the last year, the number of jobs located in London has increased by 6.1%, or 311,000 jobs, to more than 5.4 million - the largest absolute and percentage annual increase for London since the measure began in 1996. "
The figures show a record number of people across the UK are now in work, as the jobless total fell by 133 thousand to 2.2 million in the three months to March.
