VIDEO: Rioting in Brixton

 

This footage was sent to LBC by Brixton resident Mike Swain, who was recording out of his window late on Sunday night / Monday morning.

It shows three police vans being forced to retreat as a large group of hooded youths chase the vehicles down the road, armed with bottles and bits of wood.

Walthamstow, Enfield, Streatham, Oxford Circus and Brixton all experienced violence and looting last night, which has been described as "copycat criminal activity" following trouble in Tottenham on Saturday.

More than a hundred people have been arrested so far.
