Firms are to be forced to explain why they have awarded big bonuses to senior executives under plans outlined by the Business Secretary.
Vince Cable is to tell the Liberal Democrat conference that a four fold increase in chief executive pay in the last 13 years proves the system of pay has become "dysfunctional".
