Vote now: Mandatory life sentences for murderers?

High CourtThere is no widespread support for mandatory life sentences for murder, according to new research.

The report, written by law professors Barry Mitchell and Julian Roberts, said serious consideration should be given to using mandatory life sentence only for "particularly serious cases".
