Answer: They are decommissioned, all the equipment is removed from it and they are auctioned off or sold in Exchange and Mart. Any member of the public can buy them - in fact we've had texts from lots of them. The reason that many police cars are now silver is that the sell-on price is higher for silver cars than it is for white cars.
