When does a building become a skyscraper?
Question
At what point does a building become a skyscraper?Adie, Woking
Answer
** Definitive **Name: Ken, Dagenham
Qualification: Architect
Answer: It’s not to do with the height, it’s to do with the way the building is made. A house is built by bricks which supports is and stops the wind getting through. But there is a limit to how high this can go. A skyscraper has a metal frame, which does the same, but has less limits. So in theory, you can get a two-storey skyscraper.
