Where in the USA can we take our young daughters?
I have 11- and 6-year-old girls and we’ve never been to America before. The girls aren’t that interested in Disney World, so is there anywhere else in America that they would like for the next summer holidays?

Terry, the whole of America is a theme park! I don’t think you can go wrong heading for California, where there is everything from great beaches to excellent standalone attractions like Universal Studios in Hollywood and the original Disney Land.
There’s so much else to do there and you can just go exploring. Head down to San Diego – which has the best climate in the world – and then pop over the border to Tijuana in Mexico.
If you want to avoid a long flight for your six-year-old, try flying to New England. There is great countryside around, wandering around Boston is lovely and there are several very good childrens’ attractions, such as the Computer Museum, which is a lot more fun than it sounds!
