Qualification: Was told my a zookeeper that looked after pandas
Answer: When born are tiny but when grown are about 150 time larger - so because they grow so much proportionately.
(James O’Brien: Disagree, it’s because they are much bigger than other pandas, like red pandas, which are tiny.)
