Why aren't things upside down on a mirror?

When you look in a mirror, the left becomes the right and vice versa. But the top never becomes the bottom. Why is that?

Qualification: It’s a bit obvious!
Answer: The answer is it doesn’t reverse things left-to-right. The left-side of your face is shown on the left-hand side of the mirror, just as the top is at the top of the mirror. Or to put it simply, it’s because it’s a reflection!
